Louis and Leah travelled from England to the heart of Umbria to celebrate their wedding at Monastero Santa Margherita, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the Italian countryside.

Their wedding was everything a destination wedding in Italy should feel like: intimate, joyful, elegant and completely personal. From the quiet anticipation of the preparations to the emotions of the ceremony, the laughter shared with family and friends, and the celebrations that continued long into the evening, every part of the day felt genuine and effortless.

Monastero Santa Margherita provided the perfect setting for their Italian wedding. The historic architecture, beautiful gardens, panoramic views and warm atmosphere created an incredible backdrop without ever taking attention away from what mattered most, Louis and Leah, and the people they had travelled so far to celebrate with.

As an Umbria wedding photographer, I love photographing destination weddings in places like this. My approach combines documentary wedding photography with an editorial eye, allowing the day to unfold naturally while creating images that feel refined, emotional and timeless.

Rather than turning the wedding into a series of poses, I look for the in-between moments: a glance across the room, a laugh between friends, a parent’s reaction, the movement of a dress, the light falling across a table, and all those fleeting moments that make a wedding uniquely yours.
